Capacity Building and Climate Financing – Oriental Region
This project, part of GIZ's APIELO initiative ('Support for the Improvement of Energy Infrastructures in the Oriental Region'), aims to promote the development of renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) in the region. The objective is to strengthen the capacities of public and private stakeholders and to facilitate access for greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation projects to climate financing.
Main assignments:
Identification and prioritization of flagship GHG mitigation projects in the region
Analysis of regulatory frameworks and potential barriers hindering these projects
Study of existing financing mechanisms and development of a roadmap for their mobilization
Organization of roundtables bringing together key stakeholders and funders to validate directions and strengthen partnerships
