Temmam has over 24 years of professional experience in project management, particularly in the fields of environment, climate change, and sustainable development. He currently serves as an Expert Consultant for funders in Morocco, Africa, and the MENA region, working with public sector clients and private enterprises within the ECI firm, of which he is the Director-Founder.
His experience in Morocco has allowed him to work closely with institutional decision-makers on cooperation programs and projects addressing various themes of environmental and climate policy. This experience has equipped him with a strong understanding of Morocco's environmental and climate issues, its governance framework, public and private actors, as well as the best working approaches suited to the Moroccan context.
Additionally, Temmam has worked in Canada as a consulting expert with various internationally renowned engineering or environmental service firms, such as Dessau, HDS Environnement, Trow Consulting Engineers, and Véolia Environnement. This experience has distinguished him through rigorous and effective management as well as his ability to work in teams. He has thus gained significant experience in executing large-scale environmental projects, in addition to providing training in environmental matters. His experiences have enabled him to work with a diverse clientele and effectively meet their requirements. He has notably worked for private sector clients, particularly in the industrial sector (oil, petrochemical, mining companies, etc.) and the financial sector (banks, insurance companies), institutional clients (municipalities, ministries, government agencies, etc.), as well as law firms.
Holding a Ph.D. in environmental geochemistry from the prestigious Canadian university McGill, he has also undergone project management training at the same university. This training, essential for PMP (Project Management Professional) accreditation, has provided him with a solid understanding of the fundamental principles, tools, and techniques of project management from the international Project Management Institute (PMI). His involvement in various multidisciplinary environmental projects has allowed him to refine his project management skills, particularly in resource control, budget management, and work planning. He also holds other certifications, including one issued by the Federal Ministry of the Environment of Canada related to the validation and verification of GHG projects, and a trainer certificate on environmental and social safeguard policies of the Green Climate Fund issued by GIZ & WRI, etc.
