ICAT: Launch Workshop Report

To achieve its ambitious climate goals, Morocco has implemented several national strategies, including its Nationally Determined Contribution aligned with the Paris Agreement. To enhance climate finance transparency, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in June 2023 between the Department of Sustainable Development and the Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT).This partnership aims to establish a climate finance tracking system compliant with the Enhanced Transparency Framework (Article 13 of the Paris Agreement), aligned with the Kingdom’s development priorities.The 12-month ICAT Morocco project, with a budget of USD 170,000, is structured around five key pillars, ranging from the development of monitoring indicators to the creation of a roadmap for climate reporting.
