Financing strategy for the implementation of the NDC and revision of Morocco's Country Program
This project aims to support Morocco in operationalizing its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) through the development of an inclusive, gender-sensitive financing strategy aligned with national priorities. It also includes the participatory revision of the Country Program (CP) submitted to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) to better reflect the country's current climate ambitions.
The main components of this mission are:
Identification of priority sectors and programs for mitigation and adaptation
Assessment of financing needs and potential funding sources
Development of a climate financing strategy, incorporating gender and inclusion dimensions
Capacity building for stakeholders in key sectors
Development of concrete and bankable financing proposals
Ongoing revision of the Country Program, based on a consultative and multi-stakeholder process
