This project aims to identify bankable climate finance projects at the territorial level in five pilot regions of Morocco, in alignment with the country’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). It combines the analysis of territorial planning documents with capacity building for regional stakeholders and the development of a practical guide on climate finance.
Services included in the consultation:
Diagnosis and assessment: analysis of the Climate Execution Fund (CEF) compliance with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) requirements, followed by the development of an action plan.
Implementation support: assistance in executing the action plan and preparing the submission dossier for GCF accreditation.
Accreditation follow-up: support until the CEF is listed among entities reviewed by the GCF Board of Directors.
Through this approach, the project contributes to developing viable climate projects, strengthening regional stakeholders’ access to climate finance, and supporting the effective implementation of Morocco’s NDC.
