This project aims to carry out a baseline assessment of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Mauritania’s public health system.
Objectives:
Establish a baseline inventory of GHG emissions in the health sector.
Identify emission sources, including those related to the supply chain.
Define concrete measures to support the sector’s decarbonization.
Strengthen the Ministry of Health’s capacity to independently produce emission inventories.
Ensure the sustainability of the EEGES-S system.
The project combines data analysis, capacity building, and strategic planning to contribute to a more resilient and climate-friendly health system in Mauritania.
