Vulnerability assessment and development of a Climate-Resilient Adaptation and Development Plan (PADCR) for the Souss-Massa region
This project aims to support the Souss-Massa region in designing a regional climate change adaptation plan, based on a rigorous vulnerability assessment and the identification of concrete solutions to strengthen the territory's resilience
Key achievements:
Assessment of climate risks and regional vulnerability to the impacts of climate change
Development of the Climate-Resilient Adaptation and Development Plan (PADCR), with prioritization of adaptation measures integrated into territorial planning
Identification of a pipeline of high-impact potential projects, with pre-feasibility studies conducted in three key sectors
Drafting of four concept notes following the Green Climate Fund (GCF) format, with a view to future funding
Establishment of a monitoring and evaluation system to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of adaptation measures
This project is fully aligned with Morocco's national adaptation strategy and strengthens the region's capacity to anticipate and respond to climate challenges in a structured and sustainable manner.
