Development of a Territorial Climate Plan for the Casablanca-Settat Region
As part of a national program aimed at equipping six Moroccan regions with Territorial Climate Plans, a mission was carried out for the Casablanca-Settat region to structure its response to climate change challenges through mitigation and adaptation actions tailored to its territorial context.
The main stages of the project were:
Analyzing the Territorial Climate Change Situation (STCC) to establish a diagnosis of regional dynamics in climate resilience
Trend analysis of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at the regional and sectoral levels
Designing and developing a Priority Adaptation Plan addressing the identified vulnerabilities

Defining a monitoring and evaluation system and finalizing the Territorial Climate Plan (PCT) for the region
This project laid the foundations for strengthened regional climate governance by providing the Casablanca-Settat region with a coherent and operational strategic framework to address the impacts of climate change.
