Development of the Climate Change Policy in Morocco
This strategic project aimed to provide Morocco with a structured policy document to enhance the visibility of its climate commitment. Building on a draft of the National Climate Change Strategy (SNCC), the objective was to produce a clear and engaging document, serving as a reference for public authorities in their communication efforts and in securing national and international financing.
The main actions carried out were:
In-depth review of the preliminary report titled “Elements of the Future National Climate Change Strategy”
Co-development of a new strategic document, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and several sectoral ministries, titled “Climate Change Policy in Morocco (CCPM)”
This document formalized Morocco’s key orientations in combating climate change, laying the foundations for integrated climate governance and facilitating access to climate finance mechanisms.
