Design and development of an integrated online MRV system for tracking Morocco’s NDC
In response to the requirements of the Paris Agreement, a project was carried out to design and develop an integrated online MRV system. This system aimed to provide Morocco with a robust digital tool to manage data related to the implementation of its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) and to strengthen the capacities of the relevant institutions in climate monitoring.
The main components of the project included:
Technical design and development of a centralized MRV platform, facilitating the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to sectoral NDC commitments
Organization of training sessions for national stakeholders to ensure effective tool adoption and long-term sustainability of the system
This project represented a major step forward for the country’s climate governance, promoting transparency, inter-institutional coordination, and information sharing for rigorous monitoring of Morocco’s climate objectives.
