Assessment and Mapping of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions in the Oriental Region
As part of Morocco’s commitments to climate action and the territorialization of climate policies, this project aims to establish a comprehensive assessment and mapping of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the Oriental region.
The objectives of the mission are as follows:
Quantify GHG emissions by sector at the regional level
Identify the most emitting geographic areas through GHG mapping
Assess the region’s dependence on fossil fuels
Identify the highest-emission sources to prioritize action levers
Propose concrete emission reduction measures, including the use of low-carbon technologies
