Technical assistance for the accreditation of the Rwanda Development Bank (BRD) with the GCF
Within the framework of the ICR Facility (Investment Climate Reform Facility), this assignment aimed to support BRD in its accreditation process as a direct access entity to the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The main objective was to strengthen its institutional frameworks to comply with the GCF's environmental, social, and gender standards.
The main activities carried out included:
Analysis of the existing Environmental and Social Management (ESM) system
Proposals for amendments to ensure compliance with GCF requirements
Upgrading the Environmental and Social Safeguards procedures manual
Development of an environmental and social policy
Development of a new gender policy, aligned with GCF criteria
