Technical Support for the Accreditation of the Municipal Equipment Fund (FEC) with the Green Climate Fund (GCF)
This project aimed to provide comprehensive technical assistance to the Municipal Equipment Fund (FEC) in its accreditation process with the Green Climate Fund (GCF), enabling it to directly mobilize financing for climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.
The main services provided were:
Initial assessment of FEC’s operational, fiduciary, environmental, and social capacities, followed by an upgrade action plan
Support for the implementation of the action plan, including strengthening internal procedures, documenting policies, and preparing the deliverables required by the GCF
Preparation and submission of the accreditation application, with active follow-up throughout the process until FEC’s inclusion on the list of entities for review by the GCF Board
