Support for the Development of Concept Notes for the Green Climate Fund for Climate Change Adaptation Projects in Benin, Senegal, and Burkina Faso
Within the PAS-PNA program, this mission aimed to strengthen the technical and institutional capacities of national stakeholders in Benin, Senegal, and Burkina Faso to facilitate access to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) through the Simplified Approval Process (SAP).
The main objective was to co-develop, during two participatory workshops, five concept notes for climate change adaptation projects in key sectors such as:
Health
Climate-resilient agriculture
Sustainable land management
Other priority sectors for the countries concerned
The mission steps included:
Workshop 1 – Benin: held from February 11 to 15, 2019, to initiate the formulation of project ideas
Workshop 2 – Senegal: held from May 6 to 9, 2019, to refine proposals and prepare submissions to the GCF
