Support to BIDC for the finalization of its accreditation application to the Green Climate Fund (GCF)
Within the framework of the GCCA+ program, technical support was provided to the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (BIDC) to assist its accreditation process with the GCF. Since 2019, the establishment of a dedicated working group, the training of its members, and the development of a roadmap have laid the foundations for a structured process in compliance with GCF requirements.
The key actions of the consultancy included:
Operational support to BIDC for the online submission of its accreditation application
Analysis of the existing procedures manual and environmental and social policy
Proposals for adjustments to improve the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS)
Comprehensive upgrading of institutional documents in compliance with GCF standards
