Readiness Accreditation for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) – CORAF, Dakar, Senegal
This project supported the West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF) in its accreditation process as a direct access entity to the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The gap assessment identified shortcomings in fiduciary capacities, environmental and social safeguards, and gender policies. An action plan was then proposed to align CORAF’s practices with GCF requirements.
The main tasks included:
Verification of the completeness of policies and procedures required for accreditation
Assessment of gaps in fiduciary, environmental, social, and gender safeguards against GCF standards
Development of a targeted action plan to address the identified gaps and facilitate CORAF’s accreditation as a direct access entity
