Support for the preparation of the 2018 Carbon Footprint of the ONCF Group
In 2018, the ONCF Group undertook a support project for the preparation of its Carbon Footprint, in accordance with current international standards. This strategic project aimed to quantify the carbon footprint of all group activities and to strengthen its commitments to the energy transition.
The intervention focused on several key areas:
Analysis of carbon footprints conducted between 2015 and 2017, complemented by projections up to 2020
Detailed calculation of greenhouse gas emissions generated by the group’s railway and related activities
Assessment of the carbon impact of investments in railway infrastructure
Update of the existing action plan, with targeted recommendations to sustainably reduce GHG emissions
This work enabled the ONCF Group to gain a consolidated view of its environmental impact and to strengthen its roadmap toward low-carbon mobility.
