After producing the project document related to “the integration of climate change into the national logistics competitiveness strategy” according to GEF requirements, ECI, in partnership with the GET2C consultancy, was commissioned by the UNDP and the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, and Logistics to carry out a key component of this project document: Capacity building for national institutions in the transport sector in Morocco.

In this context, ECI and its European partner are tasked with developing guidelines related to conducting inventories of greenhouse gas emissions, mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in the sector, as well as the associated Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) system. These guidelines will be accompanied by detailed technical guides to facilitate the effective implementation of the guidelines.

Training sessions are also planned to strengthen the capacities of key stakeholders on the topics of the developed guidelines and technical guides.
