As part of its sustainable development policy, the Mohammed VI University Hospital of Marrakech has commissioned ECI to conduct its first greenhouse gas emissions assessment for the year 2016.

The study will cover all sites of the University Hospital and will primarily rely on the Bilan Carbone® methodology from ADEME. The BEGES tool, proposed by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment as an adaptation of the Bilan Carbone® tool to the Moroccan context, will also be used for estimating emissions.

As part of this mission, ECI conducted training on the methodology for conducting carbon assessments and using the BEGES tool. The training was aimed at the technical staff of the University Hospital, primarily including the heads of various departments and services.
